Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Network System Administrator to safeguard ICT infrastructure across the organisation and deliver reliable services to staff and the community.

You will administer and monitor physical, virtual and cloud environments, including networks, servers, storage, Microsoft 365 and identity services. The role emphasizes change management, backups, disaster recovery and automation to improve efficiency and security.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in information technology, networking or systems administration, and/or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience administering network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VLANs, wireless networking, firewalls and monitoring.
• Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, file services, storage and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, on-premises and cloud identities.
• Experience applying change-management practices, patching, vulnerability remediation and lifecycle activities.
• Experience administering backup and recovery platforms and testing restorations.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting to automate infrastructure tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and prioritization skills.

Responsabilités

• Administer, monitor and maintain ICT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage and cloud services.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot complex issues and implement system upgrades.
• Maintain security, backups and disaster recovery processes and automation.
• Contribute to performance monitoring and cyber security best practices.
• Support continuous improvement of ICT systems and documentation.
