Job summary

Northern Beaches Council's Information & Digital Technology Unit is seeking an IT Network Team Leader to guide a small three-person team responsible for enterprise and cloud networks across sites and staff. Reporting to the IDT Operations Manager, you will set priorities, coach the team, and drive reliable, secure, high-performing networking services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an IT network team in a large or complex organisation.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking and security technologies.
• Mandatory ITIL 4 certification (network certifications such as CCNP are highly regarded).
• Experience managing vendors, contracts and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a skilled network team and coach members to deliver reliable, secure network services.
• Monitor network performance and operational metrics; improve standards and ITIL-aligned service management.
• Protect network resilience and cybersecurity, implementing disaster recovery capability.
• Manage vendors, service providers and budgets to ensure value for money and service quality.
• Act as technical go-to escalation point for complex network incidents and requests, coordinating with other IT teams.
