Job summary

Telstra Corporation is seeking a Network Technical Specialist to join the Government Assurance Team's Level 2 Networking. You will support enterprise and government customers across critical network environments and work within a 24/7 shift roster in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.

You will diagnose and resolve network incidents, lead complex troubleshooting, and implement service changes while collaborating with customers, service desks and vendors. NV1 eligibility is required or attainable.

Qualifications

• Passion for networking and problem-solving.
• Experience in networking, telecommunications, IT operations, managed services or defence.
• Knowledge of network operations and enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco or Fortinet.
• Familiarity with ITIL exposure or change/service management is a plus.
• Strong communication with customers and technical teams.
• Certifications or exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, wireless, F5, Juniper, or VoIP welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to restore services for customers.
• Investigate complex problems across private networks and Telstra-managed services.
• Deliver network changes and service requests on time.
• Work with customers, service desks, vendors, and technical teams to keep everyone informed.
• Contribute to improving processes, service quality, and customer experience.
