• Responsible for the delivery and performance of NSW Parliament’s data network and communication services.
• Ongoing full-time - Sydney CBD based.
• $133,348 to $146,945 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role:

The Network and Communications Services Manager is the technical service owner responsible for the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of NSW Parliament’s data network and communication services.

The role ensures that services are stable, secure, scalable and meet business needs, providing critical technical oversight of the performance of systems, managing risks, implementing improvements and managing service suppliers. The role combines strong technical expertise in network technologies with customer-focused service delivery and effective stakeholder communication.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you

In this role you will need extensive experience managing network and communication services, including data networking (TCP/IP), broadcast and AV networking, wired and wireless networks, and network security/firewall technologies. A demonstrated experience overseeing the performance and proficiency of contractors and service suppliers. Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and incident/problem management in an enterprise environment.

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Certification or experience with ITIL Foundation (or higher) in service management practices.
• Relevant IT industry certifications in networking technology, e.g. Cisco, HPE, Microsoft, or other equivalent vendor qualifications.
