Job summary

Council seeks a skilled IT professional to manage its information technology infrastructure and resources, ensuring efficient planning, implementation and application of IT to support service delivery.

You will oversee planning, implementation and day-to-day operations, ensuring cyber security governance and reliable network services for staff. A hybrid work option is available, with strong focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in computer and networking infrastructure, firewalls, operating systems, virtual technologies and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of network security infrastructure including WANs, firewalls, routers and switches.
• Understanding of cyber security governance, risk and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with appropriate security controls.

• Manage Council’s IT infrastructure and resources.
• Plan, implement and support IT systems to enable service delivery.
• Ensure security controls and compliance across the network and systems.
• Provide quality customer service and technical guidance.

Hours:Permanent Full Time, 35 hours per week

Salary: $112,529 - $118,164 per annum + 12% superannuation

About the role

You will be responsible for responsible for the management of Council’s
Information Technology infrastructure and resources, to ensure the efficient
planning, implementation and application of information technology to support
Council’s service delivery.

About you

• Tertiary Qualifications inInformation Technology or equivalent.
• Experiencein computer and networking infrastructure, firewalls, operating systems,virtual technologies and cloud technologies.
• Knowledgeof network security infrastructure including, but not limited to, wide areanetworks, firewalls, routers and switches.
• Understandingof cyber security governance risk and compliance.
• Demonstratedability to analyse information, solve problems and make sound judgments withthe appropriate security controls in place.
• Well-roundedin-depth technical skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstratedability to provide quality customer service.
• Demonstratedrecord of achievement in Information Technology.
• Excellentoral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Abilityto meet time project deadlines, manage constraints and competing deadlines.
• Previousexperience in a similar role in either the public or private sector.
