Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a skilled information and communication technology professional to maintain and secure Operational Technology networks and critical systems in a 24/7 environment. You will monitor performance, respond to incidents, and uphold ISO27001/IEC62443 standards while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

In this role, you'll:

You’ll help keep our Operational Technology networks and critical systems secure, reliable and performing at their best. From monitoring network performance and responding to incidents to strengthening cybersecurity and planning for future capacity needs, you’ll be involved in a broad range of activities. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, maintain key technical documentation and support compliance with ISO27001 and IEC62443 standards, helping us provide dependable services to our customers and communities.

About you

You’ll bring strong experience in network design and implementation, with knowledge of MPLS, VXLAN Ethernet VPN, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, SD-WAN and VDI technologies. You’ll also have experience with VoIP telephony services and a good understanding of OT network environments. A CCNA qualification or equivalent practical experience is required, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure 24/7 operational environment. You’ll have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience, along with a current driver’s licence. You’ll need to be flexible and willing to travel within and outside the Sydney Metropolitan area, as well as undertake duties remotely when required. The role also involves working outside normal business hours when needed and participating in a 24/7 call-out roster.
