Job summary

Charter Diligence is seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer for a Federal Government project. You will develop Azure-based web APIs and portal applications within an Agile team, delivering secure, scalable solutions and modernising legacy systems into cloud environments.

Key focus areas include .NET technologies, Angular/React front-ends, and Azure services. The role requires Baseline Security Clearance and Australian working rights, with a hybrid onsite arrangement in ACT and ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing secure web-based applications using .NET technologies.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET and Web APIs.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services (API Manager, Logic Apps, SQL, Service Bus).
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repositories, and deployments.
• Familiarity with integrating systems including Dynamics 365 and third-party platforms.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and ISM compliance.
• Experience with testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Selenium, Playwright).
• Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance and have Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Azure-based web APIs and portal applications.
• Build scalable solutions using .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
• Integrate systems and services to deliver end-to-end user experiences.
• Apply secure coding practices aligned with government standards.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to QA processes.
• Work from architecture docs to deliver robust solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including developers, analysts, and architects.
• Provide technical advice across the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Produce and maintain technical and release documentation.
• Support modernization of legacy systems into cloud environments.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative culture.
