Job summary

Vertali APAC Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer for a Federal Government contract role based in Canberra or willing to travel from an Australian capital city. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with potential ad-hoc travel to Canberra as needed.

The role requires Australian citizenship with Baseline clearance (or ability to obtain) and a minimum of five years' local cloud experience, with hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps, CRM integrations, and Azure networking.

Qualifications

Job description

Our Federal Government client, is looking for aMultiple Senior Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer for a contract role with an initial 12-month engagement and a likely further extensions. They are looking for someone, preferably based in Canberra, ACT in a hybrid capacity but will also consider, for a suitable candidate, someone from an Australian capital city, also working in a hybrid capacity from their state-based office. For this latter engagement ad-hoc travel will be required to Canberra from time to time.

Note:

• MANDATORY, all candidates must be an Australian citizen and hold a current Baseline clearance OR be able to obtain Baseline clearance,
• All candidates must have the skills and experience listed below, and
• Have at least 5 year's relevant local working experience in the field.
• Cloud experience: Demonstrated experience in cloud-based solution implementation with technologies including:

• Azure DevOps for code development, management, repositories, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments
• Integrating cloud-based systems with third-party systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
• Azure networking, security and identity management capabilities including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and Role Based Access Control

• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate and mentor team members to promote team harmony

Agile:

• Experience working with Agile Multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, user friendly and reliable solutions that meet stakeholder, citizen, and business expectations.
• Ability to pragmatically change direction and scope as new information is discovered and challenges or opportunities present themselves

Technical Skills:

• Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop and manage enterprise and application-level architectures for MS-Azure.
• Provide impact analysis and technical guidance in design and development of project work aligned with WoG Standards
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership across project and operational tasks
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures
• Demonstrated experience in application and integration, or infrastructure platform architecture.
• Minimum 3 years' experience designing and documenting architectures for large, complex enterprise systems. Experience with AWS and/or GCP is desirable but not essential.
