Job summary

Hitech Asia Pacific is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer for a major Federal Government cloud transformation program based in Canberra, with hybrid work arrangements and NV1 clearance. You will collaborate with architecture, security and delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable Azure platforms supporting rapid app delivery and modernization.

Your responsibilities include provisioning Azure hosting, building IaC with Bicep/Terraform/ARM, developing Azure DevOps pipelines, configuring networking

Qualifications

• Experience engineering enterprise Azure solutions.

• Exciting opportunity within a major Federal Government cloud transformation program!
• Canberra based with hybrid work arrangements and NV1 Clearance!

A major Federal Government program is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale cloud transformation and migration initiative. Collaborating with architecture, security and application delivery teams, you will help deliver secure, scalable and automated Azure cloud platforms that enable rapid application delivery and modernisation across the enterprise.

The successful Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Provisioning and configuring Azure application hosting services and cloud resources.
• Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Bicep, Terraform and ARM templates.
• Building and supporting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Configuring Azure networking, identity, security and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Implementing monitoring, logging and operational support capabilities across Azure environments.

The successful Azure Cloud Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Proven experience engineering and supporting enterprise solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Bicep, Terraform and/or ARM templates.
• Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.
• Experience delivering cloud migration, modernisation or Landing Zone initiatives within complex environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major Government cloud transformation program delivering secure, scalable and automated Azure services. The successful Azure Cloud Engineer will be offered a 12-24 month contract with strong extension potential.
