Care haven Australia is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis at Brisbane City and Chermside. You will provide person-centred support and help participants maintain independence.

Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged; language skills are preferred but not mandatory. Essential checks include NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, First Aid, and a current Australian Driver Licence.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that empowers participants to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care and daily living assistance
• Supporting clients with community access and social activities
• Assisting with transportation to appointments and outings
• Medication assistance (where qualified)
• Supporting clients with household tasks and meal preparation
• Implementing individual support plans
• Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
• Promoting client choice, dignity, and independence

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required

Essential Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Full Australian working rights

Desirable Qualifications

Certificate III/IV qualifications are preferred but not essential.

Experience supporting mental health participants, managing challenging behaviours, and providing independent 1:1 supports in home and community settings is highly regarded.
