Job summary

Your Own Care is seeking a compassionate Casual Disability Support Worker to provide essential in-home support across Brisbane South and Logan, helping clients live independently with dignity through personalised, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, offering companionship, and coordinating with care plans. Applicants must have Cert III in Individual Support, a valid QLD driver’s licence, First Aid/CPR, and NDIS modules in progress or completed.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Adult/Disability care is essential.
• NDIS modules and related safety training are required.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is needed.
• Foundations of Child Safety Certificate is preferred.
• QLD Driver's Licence and reliable transport required.
• NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (or in progress) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living tasks including personal care and meal prep.
• Provide companionship and engage clients with activities/outings.
• Collaborate with care plans and report progress to professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safety policies.

Casual Disability Support Worker – Brisbane South & Logan

Your Own Care is seeking a compassionate Casual Support Worker to join our team, providing essential support in participant homes across Brisbane South and Logan, Queensland. You'll help clients live independently with dignity through personalised, high-quality care.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living: personal care, meal prep, light housework
• Offer companionship, social support, and engaging activities/outings
• Collaborate on care plans with professionals
• Maintain accurate records and follow all policies/safety protocols
• Australian work rights (visa eligible)
• NDIS Worker Screening & Working with Children Check (paid card or in progress) before starting
• Applications will be accepted if NDIS Worker Screening is currently in progress

What We’re Looking For

• Cert III in Individual Support (or equivalent, or willing to obtain
• Valid QLD driver's licence + reliable transport
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Foundations of Child Safety Certificate
• NDIS modules including: orientation (quality, safety and you), supporting effective communication, new worker induction and mealtime management (or ability to complete prior to employment).
• Experience in disability/aged care or similar
• Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent time management and problem-solving
• Passion for making a real difference
• Great availability for a wide range of shifts, including overnights
• QLD Drivers License
