Care to Change in Brisbane is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our expanding team across Brisbane down to Pimpama. This casual role supports participants to live independently in a safe, caring environment and helps them work toward NDIS goals. Qualifications

• Current First Aid certificate required.
• NDIS Screening Card required.
• Blue Card / Working with Children Card required.
• NDIS Orientation Module completed.
• Driver’s license with own vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
• Senior First Aid certificate and CPR.

Duties and Responsibilities may include:

• Community Access


• Domestic Assistance


• Medication Assistance


• Personal Care


• Supporting participants with complex mental health and behaviour needs


• Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct


• Keep accurate records


• Liaising with participants family members


• Provide support to participants with palliative care and end of life support needs

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

• A current First Aid Certificate.


• NDIS Screening Card


• Blue card/Working With Children Card


• NDIS Orientation Module


• Hold a current driver’s license and have own vehicle with comprehensive insurance


• Hold Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR

Desirable Requirements and Qualifications:

• MAYBO Training


• Minimum of 12 months experience within this sector or Aged Care


• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Disability)


• Certificate to Assist Clients with Medication
