Job summary

Cable Handling Services (CHS), part of the ACE Group, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand our presence across Australia. This national role focuses on building strategic relationships with mine operators, OEMs, EPC contractors and engineering teams to improve mine safety, equipment reliability and operational performance through engineered cable handling solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' business development in the Australian mining sector.
• Experience selling technical products, capital equipment or engineered solutions.
• Strong understanding of electrically powered mobile mining equipment.
• Knowledge of high-voltage trailing cable systems or cable management solutions.
• Existing relationships within major mining companies, contractors or OEMs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage long sales cycles.
• A current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans across key mining accounts.
• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify opportunities for CHS cable handling systems and engineered safety solutions.
• Work collaboratively with customers to identify cable handling risks and recommend practical engineered improvements.
• Assist with quotations, tenders and technical proposals.
• Influence project specifications during equipment upgrades and new mining projects.
• Represent CHS at customer meetings, mining conferences and industry events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
• Achieve sales growth and customer acquisition targets.
