Job summary

Cable Handling Services (CHS), part of the ACE Group, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong mining industry connections to expand our presence across Australia. This is a national, consultative sales role focused on building strategic relationships with mine operators, OEMs, EPC contractors and engineering teams.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will identify opportunities to improve mine safety and equipment reliability through engineered cable handling

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ Business Development experience within the Australian mining industry.
• Experience selling technical products, capital equipment or engineered solutions.
• Strong understanding of electrically powered mobile mining equipment.
• Knowledge of high-voltage trailing cable systems or cable management solutions.
• Existing relationships within major mining companies, contractors or OEMs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage long sales cycles.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel nationally.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
• Achieve sales growth and customer acquisition targets.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong mining industry connections to help expand our presence across Australia. This is a national role focused on developing strategic relationships with mine operators, OEMs, EPC contractors and engineering teams, identifying opportunities to improve mine safety, equipment reliability and operational performance through engineered cable handling solutions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while growing relationships with existing customers throughout Australia's mining sector.

This is a consultative technical sales role where you'll work closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and provide engineered solutions that improve safety, reduce cable damage, minimise downtime and deliver long-term value.

Travel throughout NSW, Queensland and Western Australia will be required.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You are an experienced mining industry professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and solving customer problems.

You’ll ideally have:
