Job summary

Echo Therapeutics is seeking a National Key Account Manager to strengthen hospital partnerships, lead national tender strategies and drive contracted growth across Australia. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will build influential relationships with hospital procurement teams, state purchasing bodies and pharmacy leaders while shaping our commercial strategy.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in the Australian pharmaceutical or medical industry, including three years in hospital key account management, tenders or contracts.
• Demonstrated success managing hospital tenders and navigating state health procurement frameworks.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, negotiation and contract profitability.
• Understanding of hospital pharmacy, formulary processes and pharmaceutical distribution channels.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders and deliver commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach to a growing business.
• Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, oncology, anti-infectives or NZ hospital procurement advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing strategic account plans that strengthen customer partnerships and drive profitable growth.
• Building influential relationships with hospital pharmacy, procurement and purchasing stakeholders.
• Leading national hospital tender strategies, submissions, negotiations and contract management.
• Identifying new commercial opportunities across existing and emerging pharmaceutical portfolios.
• Monitoring contract performance, profitability and customer requirements to optimise business outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver objectives.
• Using market intelligence, commercial data and digital tools to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.
