Job summary

Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km south west of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela. This long-standing operation produces 11mtpa of thermal coal for domestic power generation, alumina refining, and export markets.

As an Operator you will join a busy mine, operating Haul Trucks within a coal mining setting as well as other equipment such as Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Water Carts,

Qualifications

• Previous mining experience as a multi-skilled operator with CAT 789 Haul Truck and SSE-listed skills.
• Current Standard 11 or willingness to obtain it.
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain.
• Current Driver's Licence and ability to pass site medical & D&A.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate Haul Trucks and other equipment (Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Water Carts, Service Trucks, Excavators) at Callide Mine.
• Work a lifestyle roster with 12.5 hour shifts, contributing to a busy mining team.

Job description

Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km south west of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela.

A long-standing operation, Callide Mine is an open-cut coal mine producing 11mtpa of thermal coal for domestic power generation, alumina refining, and export markets. The operation has extensive recoverable coal reserves and long-term supply contracts in place, ensuring a long-term future.

What Will You Be Doing

In this role you will become a part of a busy mine as an Operator. You will be operating Haul Trucks within a coal mining setting as well as other associated equipment, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Water Carts, Service Trucks and/or Excavators. You will be working a lifestyle roster inclusive of a pyjama day, 12.5 hour shifts.

What You Will Need

• Previous mining experience as a Multi Skilled Operator operating minimum CAT 789 Haul Truck, providing an SSE signed skills list
• Current Standard 11 or will to obtain this
• Current Coal Board Medical or willing to obtain this
• Current Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to pass site medical and Drug & Alcohol requirements
