Job summary

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support the Lead Maintenance Coordinator to deliver maintenance services and meet customer expectations across DCJ facilities, including correctional centres, Youth Justice facilities and courts.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance programs, managing stakeholder relationships, monitoring contractor performance, reviewing and approving works, travelling across the region, and delivering outcomes

Qualifications

• Qualification, trade certificate or relevant experience in facilities management, building, construction, maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts and service providers across a large property portfolio.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, asset management principles, compliance requirements and risk management.
• Experience interpreting maintenance data, contractor performance metrics and financial reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong connections with the broader team.
• Experience working within a government or similarly complex environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities maintenance services across DCJ facilities and ensure assets remain fit for purpose.
• Provide value for money and comply with organisational, public sector and legislative requirements.
• Review and approve maintenance works and monitor service delivery performance.
• Analyse financial and operational data and participate in operational meetings.
• Travel across the region and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
