Job summary

Gow Recruitment is assisting a leading global financial services organisation to hire a Middle Office Analyst for multiple 12 month contracts in Sydney. You will support investment portfolios across asset classes, ensuring accurate trade processing, cash management and timely settlement.

Key tasks include cash/position reconciliations, daily reporting to Front Office stakeholders, pricing reviews, and resolving valuation breaks.

Qualifications

Experience in Middle Office, Investment Operations, Portfolio Operations.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle from booking to settlement.
Exposure to cash and asset reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

Manage daily cash and position reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Monitor cash movements and ensure timely settlement of investment transactions.
Provide daily cash and position reporting to Front Office stakeholders.
Support trade lifecycle activities across fixed income, equities, FX, OTC derivatives and private market investments.
Assist with daily unit pricing calculations and management and performance fee reviews.
Investigate cash, asset and valuation breaks, ensuring timely resolution.
Support the operational processing of complex and bespoke investment transactions.
Liaise with Front Office, custodians and internal operations teams to resolve trade and settlement issues.
Ensure month-end cash, asset and valuation reconciliations are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and controls.
