Job summary

Align Talent Pty Ltd is partnering with an established organisation that is moving to an outsourced technology model. The Technology Operations Lead will guide the transition, with a MSP taking on IT operations and cyber security, while maintaining day-to-day tech delivery under the GM of Technology.

The role focuses on managing the provider relationship, governance, incident coordination and progress reporting to senior leadership, with Melbourne CBD hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing an MSP and accountability of vendor performance.
• Strong infrastructure or end-user technology background.
• Experience overseeing cyber security within a broader tech remit.
• Solid knowledge of incident, problem, change and service levels.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, endpoint management and identity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of IT operations and cyber security to a managed service provider.
• Own the operational relationship with the provider and ensure SLAs are met.
• Keep day-to-day technology services running during the transition.
• Lead service reviews, escalations and major incident coordination.
• Ensure operational controls for monitoring, patching, backup and recovery.
• Oversee technology asset and lifecycle governance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data and the outsourced cyber provider to maintain security.
• Report transition progress and risks to senior leadership.
