Job summary

PPG Braeside Office in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on technician to provide operational, technical and training support across the customer production environment. You will work on vehicle preparation, paint mixing and application in line with site requirements, while maintaining spray equipment and related tools.

In this role you will train, mentor and, when required, discipline customer paint and panel staff, conduct on-site and centre-based staff assessments, and perform monthly audits to

• Ideally 5+ years hands-on experience in a high-volume vehicle repair environment.
• Experience with process driven environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of business.
• Ability to enforce process is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Understanding of labour productivity and the relationship to profitability.
• Sound planning, time management and organisational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of PPG products and application systems.
• Knowledge of LEAN principles
• Basic computer literacy and email communication
• Self-motivated to achieve tasks efficiently
• Hold a current/valid driver license
• Complete mandatory company training and adhere to EHS policies

• Complete all mandatory company training both internal or external as required, whether in person or online
• Adherence to all EHS policies at both PPG and Customer sites
• Ensure compliance with PPG Ethics policy
• Comply with the Travel and Entertainment policy
• All PPG sites and vehicles are Smoke Free environments
• Comply with the PPG Company Vehicle Policy
