Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking an experienced MSO Support Specialist to partner with our MSO customers across New South Wales and the ACT. You will act as a technical advisor, trainer and operations coach, helping repair centres maximise productivity and repair outcomes.

In this role you will travel regularly within NSW/ACT, coach teams, troubleshoot technical challenges, and support the successful adoption of PPG products and repair processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume collision repair, automotive refinishing, or vehicle repair environments.
• Strong knowledge of paint application, repair processes and workshop operations.
• Proven ability to influence, coach and develop technical teams.

PPG is seeking an exceptional MSO Support Specialist to partner with one of our key Multi Shop Organisation (MSO) customers across New South Wales and the ACT. In this highly visible role, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor, trainer, and operational improvement specialist, helping repair centres maximise productivity, strengthen technical capability, and deliver outstanding repair outcomes.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the technical link between PPG and our customer network, you will:

• Deliver hands-on technical support, coaching, and guidance across multiple repair facilities.
• Train and mentor paint and panel teams to improve skills, application techniques, product knowledge, and workshop performance.
• Conduct individual and group training sessions, competency assessments, and pre-employment evaluations.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and production bottlenecks, implementing practical solutions that drive throughput and profitability.
• Support the successful adoption of PPG products, systems, and best-practice repair processes.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide expert advice to improve repair quality and consistency.
• Assist with paint preparation, mixing, and application activities when operational support is required.
• Maintain workshop equipment including spray guns, UV and IR curing equipment, gun wash systems, and colour management tools.
• Build strong relationships with site leaders, technicians, and key stakeholders across the MSO network.
• Regularly travel throughout NSW and the ACT to support customer operations.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a passion for helping others succeed.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience within a high-volume collision repair, automotive refinishing, or vehicle repair environment.
• Strong knowledge of paint application, repair processes, workshop operations, and industry best practice.
• A proven ability to influence, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of productivity, labour efficiency, and workshop performance metrics.
• Outstanding planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach with a strong customer focus.
• A current and valid Full driver's license.
• Previous experience delivering technical training or workplace coaching.
• Knowledge of PPG products, systems, and colour technologies.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence principles.
• Experience supporting multi-site repair operations.
