PPG Townsville is hiring a Sales Assistant/Storeperson to prepare customer orders, manage stock and support daily branch operations. Training in paint tinting and colour matching is provided as part of development.

You’ll work a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule, with some Tuesday‑Saturday rotations, and join a small, supportive team within a global company that has protected and beautified the world for 140+ years.

Formación

• Proven experience in warehousing or similar environment.
• Confident with computers; SAP experience is highly regarded.
• Experience in a trade desk or trade warehouse is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Customer service orientation and willingness to help customers.
• Willingness to learn paint tinting and colour matching
• Team player with good communication
• Manual handling capable and standing for shifts
• Valid driver’s license
• Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one)

How You’ll Make An Impact

Working as part of our Townsville team, you’ll help ensure products move safely and efficiently through the branch while delivering great service to our customers. You’ll:

• Prepare, pick, pack and process customer orders accurately and on time

We’re looking for someone with warehousing experience who is also happy to step in and help customers when needed. Paint industry experience isn’t essential. We’ll provide training on our products, systems and processes.

To Thrive In This Role, You’ll

• Have some proven experience in a warehousing or similar environment
• Be confident using computers, with SAP experience highly regarded
• Ideally have experience in a trade desk, trade warehouse or similar environment
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Enjoy delivering excellent customer service
• Be willing to learn new skills, including paint tinting and colour matching
• Work well as part of a close-knit team
• Be comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet throughout the day
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Hold a current forklift licence, or be willing to obtain one
