Job summary

NTT DATA in Canberra seeks an experienced MS Engineer L2 (Platform) to support enterprise platform infrastructure within a 24x7 environment. You will work across Windows and Linux environments, virtualization, and automation to ensure reliable services for nationally significant operations.

The role requires baseline security clearance, Australian citizenship, and hands-on experience with VMware, AD, and automation tools.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise platform infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
Strong virtualization experience, including VMware.
Experience deploying complex infrastructure in production.
Change control and operational support experience.
Exposure to managed services IT frameworks.
Experience with enterprise ticketing platforms, preferably ServiceNow.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for 24x7 operations.

Responsibilities

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests within SLAs.
Identify issues proactively and drive timely resolution.
Plan, coordinate, and implement changes within approved windows.
Monitor performance, availability, and capacity across systems.
Support problem management and recurring issues.
Develop and improve automation to increase efficiency.
Test software releases, patches, and infrastructure upgrades.
Create and maintain technical docs and runbooks.
Support project delivery and operational handover.
Assist with onboarding new environments into managed services.
Mentor Level 1 engineers and share expertise.
Operate within security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support.
