Job summary

JAX Tyre & Auto Forster is hiring a skilled Motor Mechanic for full-time work in Forster. You’ll join a well-equipped workshop focused on quality, safety and customer satisfaction, with a clear path to a long-term career.

The role involves servicing, diagnostics, repairs across engines and systems, and Tyre/Fitting work as needed. Above-award pay and an incentive program are offered.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology required.
• 3 years’ experience as a qualified mechanic.
• Strong mechanical repair and diagnostic skills.
• Experience across a variety of vehicles.
• Tyre Fitting and Wheel Aligning experience (Not essential).
• AIS Ticket (Preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s licence (manual).
• Commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Logbook servicing, mechanical repairs and fault diagnostics.
• Repairs across engines, brakes, suspension, steering and general mechanical systems.
• Working across multiple makes and models.
• Diagnosing faults.
• Pink Slips.
• Tyre Fitting and Wheel Aligning (when required).
• Communicating with sales staff to keep workflow efficient and customers informed.
• Maintaining high workmanship, safety and workshop standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day brings something different. You’ll work across a wide range of vehicles and take pride in getting the job done right.

Your role will include:

• Logbook servicing, mechanical repairs and fault diagnostics
• Repairs across engines, brakes, suspension, steering and general mechanical systems
• Working across multiple makes and models
• Diagnosing faults
• Pink Slips
• Tyre Fitting and Wheel Alignments (when required)
• Working closely with a supportive workshop team
• Communicating with sales staff to keep workflow efficient and customers informed
• Maintaining high workmanship, safety and workshop standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their trade and wants to be part of a team that gets things done properly.

You’ll ideally have:
