Qualifications

• Proven experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation and decoration.
• Creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Check ingredient quality and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
• Mix, knead, rest, roll, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry goods.
• Prepare pastry fillings, creams, custards and other components.
• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product appearance; coordinate loading and cooling.
• Demonstrate knowledge in preparation and baking of various cakes, pastries and desserts.
• Finish and decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques.
• Support production team and maintain high preparation and production standards.
• Contribute to production schedules and ensure Brunetti Oro standards are met.
