Job summary

Rottnest Island Authority is seeking a strategic leader to manage Moorings, overseeing the Shared Mooring System, Mooring Licensing Portal and marine rental facilities on Wadjemup/Rottnest Island. The role focuses on delivering robust business systems, governance and service improvement for both private and public mooring services.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience developing, implementing, maintaining and improving business systems, service processes and operational frameworks, preferably in a marine, maritime or natural resource management context.
• Demonstrated experience leading the development, implementation, governance and ongoing performance of customer-facing digital systems or portals, including translating business and legislative requirements into functional improvements.
• Highly developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to develop practical and innovative responses to operational, system, policy implementation and service issues.
• Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including consultation, building successful relationships, explaining requirements and supporting implementation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.

Job description

Location: Fremantle and Wadjemup / Rottnest Island (commuting), Western Australia

The Manager Moorings is accountable for the strategic leadership, delivery and performance of the business systems and processes that support private and public mooring services at Wadjemup / Rottnest Island. The position leads the development, review and implementation of administration and business processes governing the Shared Mooring System (SMS), Mooring Licensing Portal and marine rental facilities.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
