Rivtow Marine, part of Riverside Marine Group, invites an Operations Officer to Port Hedland, WA. This full-time residential role (no FIFO) focuses on safe, efficient towage and port operations, offering growth opportunities, training, and a competitive salary package with benefits.

Your day-to-day includes supporting the operations team, preparing operational reports, coordinating with client marine operations and stakeholders, assisting in training programs, and attending vessel inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in the marine industry or port operations is preferred.
• MSIC eligibility or ability to obtain MSIC is required.
• Strong numerical skills and data reporting ability.
• Good communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the operations team across a range of tasks
• Develop and prepare operational reports and statistics for the Operations Superintendent
• Coordinate with client marine operations, scheduling team, contractors and port stakeholders for day-to-day operations; on-call may be required
• Coordinate with client, Rivtow fleet and shoreside team to enable safe daily vessel operations
• Assist in planning and delivering training programs per strategy
• Attend vessel inspections as required
• Prepare agendas and minutes and attend meetings as required

Rivtow Marine is looking for a full-time Operations Officer based in Port Hedland, WA.

Employment Type: Full Time Residential Role (no FIFO)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operations team across a range of tasks
• Develop and prepare operational reports including operational statistics for the Operations Superintendent
• Communication with client marine operations and scheduling team, contractors and other port user stakeholders for day-to-day operations. There may be an on call requirement
• Work with the client, Rivtow fleet and the shoreside team to facilitate safe, reliable daily operation of vessels and associated infrastructure
• Support the team in the planning and implementation of training programs, as per training strategy
• Attend vessel inspections, as required
• Prepare agenda, minutes and attend scheduled meetings as required

You will need:

• Experience in the marine industry, towage, and/or port operations, whilst not essential, will set you apart
• Demonstrated flexibility and problem solving ability
• Proven ability to deliver results within agreed time frames
• Hold an MSIC or be able to obtain an MSIC
• Strong computer capability and excellent numeric skills
