Job summary

Mobiquip is seeking a personable Sales Consultant for our Baulkham Hills showroom to help older Australians and carers choose mobility and aged care equipment. You’ll blend customer care, product knowledge and sales to guide confident purchases and ensure a great in-store experience.

You'll join a small showroom team, with support from central sales operations, delivery and servicing, focusing on customer needs, product demonstrations and follow-up to meet showroom goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or a customer service role with sales responsibilities.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain features in everyday language.
• Willingness to learn how equipment works and demonstrate it confidently.
• Initiative, sound judgement and ability to work independently in a small team.
• Confidence using computers for quotations, sales, records and email.
• Attention to detail and reliable customer follow-up.
• Practical approach to assembling and adjusting equipment safely, with training.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, ask thoughtful questions and understand needs, preferences and budget.
• Explain and demonstrate products such as walkers, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, lift recliners, beds and bathroom aids.
• Help customers compare options and arrange product trials with the relevant team.
• Prepare showroom quotations, process retail sales and keep customer records.
• Follow up showroom enquiries and convert enquiries into sales.
• Identify accessories or additional equipment that benefit the customer.
• Provide clear handovers to central team for funded purchases, hires, deliveries and service requests.
• Complete simple equipment assembly and safety checks within training.
• Keep showroom clean, welcoming and ready for demonstrations.
• Contribute to showroom sales goals through follow-up, product knowledge and customer service.
