Job summary

Oryx People Automotive is seeking an experienced Zone Manager to own the safe, efficient and profitable operation of an assigned zone in Sydney. You will lead mobile and workshop operations, driving sales, customer satisfaction, productivity and team performance.

Reporting to the State Manager, you'll coach technicians, manage day-to-day jobs and resources, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while improving processes and margins.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience leading automotive teams.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs and commercial metrics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior leadership.
• A current unrestricted driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive technicians and support staff.
• Drive sales, profit, productivity and operational performance against KPIs.
• Manage day-to-day allocation and coordination of jobs and resources.
• Ensure technicians are trained, equipped and supported to deliver quality work.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage customer inquiries and complaints while driving customer satisfaction.
• Monitor labour and parts margins, productivity and other KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and customer outcomes.
