HiQ Group is seeking skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join our team at the Bulla site in Melbourne, Victoria. Operators will work with excavators, dozers, haul trucks, wheel loaders, compactors and fuel trucks to support expanding operations.

These full‑time roles require a proactive attitude, a willingness to perform occasional manual tasks, and a commitment to safety. Shifts include Day, Afternoon and Night, with potential weekend work and pre‑employment checks.

HiQ is a proudly Australian-owned family business operating across NSW, Victoria, and Queensland. We specialise in resource recycling, landfills, waste treatment, quarry operations, and transport logistics.

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated Mobile Plant Operators to join our team at our Bulla site in Melbourne, Victoria. Operators will work with equipment such as excavators, dozers, haul trucks, wheel loaders, compactors, and fuel trucks to support our expanding operations.

As part of our team, you will bring a versatile skill set, a proactive attitude, and the flexibility to meet the daily demands of the business. This may occasionally include performing manual tasks.

These are full‑time roles with immediate start dates. Opportunities are available for:

Day Shift

6:00am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Afternoon Shift

12:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Night Shift

9:00 pm – 6:30 am, Monday to Friday

Additional weekend work may be available as needed.

Applicants must live within a reasonable daily commuting distance to the Bulla site and be able to pass a pre‑employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience operating any of the following: excavators, dozers, haul trucks, wheel loaders, compactors, or fuel & water trucks (Statement of Attainment is desirable)
• Positive attitude, high energy, and strong initiative
• Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
• Current White Card
• Current driver’s licence (HR Licence required for fuel & water truck operators)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Capacity to multi‑task effectively
• Ability to perform daily pre‑start checks on machinery

Eligibility Requirements

• You must have the right to work in Australia.
• Successful candidates will need to complete a full pre‑employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
• You must comply with current government vaccination mandates and provide proof of vaccination status.
