Job summary

Recruitment 24/7 is seeking Civil Plant Operators for a client in the Boonah region. The role involves operating a range of civil plant machinery across multiple projects, with independence and adaptability to changing site conditions.

Ideal candidates will interpret basic plans without GPS and undertake pre-start checks, basic servicing, and daily paperwork, while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Construction Industry White Card is required.
• Plant operation tickets: Bobcat/Positrack, Excavator, Dozer, Roller.
• Manual Driver's Licence is required, plus a minimum HR Licence.
• Available for full-time hours (Monday to Friday).
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery including Bobcat/Positrack, Excavator (3t–15t), Roller and Dozer.
• Carry out earthworks and civil construction tasks.
• Work from site plans and adjust works as required.
• Load and unload machinery safely.
• Drive trucks (with and without tag trailer).
• Transport materials and plant between sites.
• Complete pre-start checks, maintenance, and basic servicing.
• Perform manual labour as required.
• Complete daily paperwork in line with company policies.

Recruitment 24/7 is currently seeking Civil Plant Operators for our client based in the Boonah region. Our client specialises in civil construction and residential projects and is looking to expand their team with reliable and skilled operators.

This role offers competitive pay rates, Monday to Friday work, and the potential for permanent employment after a qualifying period.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be required to operate a variety of civil plant machinery and work across multiple projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, problem-solve on the go, and adapt to changing site conditions.

As many of the projects are free-formed and based on basic plans (no GPS systems), the ideal candidate will be confident interpreting plans and completing works without supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery including:
• o Bobcat / Positrack
• o Excavator (3t - 15t)
• o Roller
• o Dozer
• Carry out earthworks and civil construction tasks
• Work from site plans and adjust works as required
• Load and unload machinery safely
• Drive trucks (with and without tag trailer)
• Transport materials and plant between sites
• Complete pre-start checks, maintenance, and basic servicing

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Hold a current Manual Driver's Licence
• Hold a minimum HR Driver's Licence
• Be available for full-time hours (Monday to Friday)
• Have the ability to work unsupervised and take initiative

Desirable

• Experience in civil construction or residential projects
• Experience loading/unloading plant and float operations
• Strong understanding of safe work practices
