Job summary

Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking a Membership and Events Lead for Mount Martha Public Golf Course. This permanent full-time role drives participation through inclusive programs, events and membership initiatives that align with Council’s vision for a connected, active and accessible community.

You will lead membership sales, coordinate golf competitions and community programs, build partnerships, promote participation and monitor trends to grow sustainable revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead membership sales, onboarding, renewals and retention initiatives to grow participation and deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Coordinate a diverse range of golf competitions, clinics, community programs, social events and corporate bookings that enhance participation and customer satisfaction.
• Develop relationships with members, sponsors, community groups and stakeholders while implementing marketing initiatives that increase awareness, participation and utilisation of the facility.
• Monitor membership and participation trends, analyse customer feedback, and implement initiatives that drive sustainable revenue growth, continuous improvement and positive customer outcomes.

About the Role

The MMPGC Membership and Events Lead drives participation, community engagement and sustainable revenue at Mount Martha Public Golf Course by delivering inclusive programs, events and membership initiatives that align with Council’s vision for a connected, active and accessible community.

1. Drive Membership Growth and Engagement

• Lead membership sales, onboarding, renewals and retention initiatives to grow participation and deliver an exceptional member experience.

2. Plan and Deliver Events and Programs

• Coordinate a diverse range of golf competitions, clinics, community programs, social events and corporate bookings that enhance participation and customer satisfaction.

3. Build Community Partnerships and Promote Participation

• Develop relationships with members, sponsors, community groups and stakeholders while implementing marketing initiatives that increase awareness, participation and utilisation of the facility.

4. Grow Revenue and Improve Performance

• Monitor membership and participation trends, analyse customer feedback, and implement initiatives that drive sustainable revenue growth, continuous improvement and positive customer outcomes.

Previous experience within a golf club, golf course, sporting venue or membership-based environment will be highly regarded.
