Job summary

Centenary Park Golf Course is under Peninsula Leisure's management and is seeking a Full-Time Golf Operations Assistant to support smooth, safe, and welcoming daily operations across the venue.

You’ll work at reception and café, manage bookings and POS, assist with equipment, driving range, coaching programs with PGA professionals, and help with events, stock and food safety.

This role offers variety, teamwork, and a chance to contribute to a vibrant community facility.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications are essential.
• Working with Children Check and RSA required.
• Experience in front-of-house operations within golf, sport or leisure environments.
• Knowledge of golf programs, coaching environments or participation pathways.
• Familiarity with golf booking systems such as MiClub (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at reception and in the café.
• Process POS transactions and manage bookings in person, by phone and online.
• Handle customer feedback and escalate issues as required.
• Provide basic advice on golf equipment and apparel and assist with hire equipment management.
• Oversee driving range operations to ensure a positive experience.
• Prepare and serve basic food and beverage items.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented café and service area in line with food safety standards.
• Support course operations including stock handling, marshalling and event setup.
• Work alongside PGA professionals and casual staff to support coaching programs.

Centenary Park Golf Course has commenced an exciting new chapter, with Peninsula Leisure taking over management of the facility in earlier this year. About the Role

As a key member of our Golf Operations team, you’ll support the smooth, safe and efficient running of daily operations across the venue. Reporting to the Golf Operations Coordinator, you’ll work across both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house tasks, helping us create a welcoming and professional environment for all golfers and guests. Your day could include:

• Delivering outstanding customer service at reception and in the café
• Processing point‑of‑sale transactions and managing bookings, in person, via phone and online
• Handle customer feedback and elevate issues as required
• Provide basic advice on golf equipment and apparel as well as assisting with hire equipment management
• (carts, clubs, range balls)
• Oversee driving range operations to ensure a positive experience for all users
• Preparing and serving basic food and beverage items
• Maintaining a clean, well‑presented café and service area in line with food safety standards
• Supporting course operations including stock handling, marshalling assistance, and event/program setup
• Working alongside PGA professionals and casual staff to support coaching programs and participation

• Familiarity with golf booking systems such as MiClub (or similar)
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine commitment to creating great experiences
