Job summary

Mornington Peninsula Shire in Victoria's Mornington area seeks a Customer Service and Retail Officer for our public golf facility at Mount Martha. You will deliver welcoming, efficient service and support operations to ensure high-quality leisure outcomes aligned with Council’s healthy and connected community vision.

Ideal candidates enjoy golf, have golf or customer service experience, are friendly and reliable, and can work across the summer season including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf and/or customer service is essential.
• Ability to welcome and assist golfers of all ages.
• Proven reliability, energy, and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service at the golf facility.
• Support operations to ensure a welcoming, well-presented venue.
• Assist with member check-in and golf services during the summer period.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations and Retail Lead the Customer Service and Retail Officer provides front-line customer service and operational support to ensure a welcoming, efficient and well-presented golf facility, contributing to consistent service delivery and high-quality leisure outcomes aligned with Council’s vision for a healthy and connected community.

• Have a genuine passion for golf
• Have experience in golf and/or customer service
• Enjoy meeting and helping people
• Are friendly, energetic and reliable
• Are available across the summer period, including weekends and public holidays
• Is a proficient user of Mi Club and Mi Membership platforms
• Have sound knowledge of the game of golf and golf products
• Have good personal presentation and communication skills
