Job summary

Peninsula Leisure Pty Ltd seeks an energetic Golf Operations Assistant to support daily operations at Centenary Park Golf Course, working across reception, café, bookings, and range activities. You’ll assist PGA professionals and casual staff to deliver welcoming experiences for golfers and guests.

You will manage POS transactions, assist with equipment and coaching programs, and maintain food service standards. Join a community-focused team during a time of positive change.

Qualifications

• Current CPR
• Current First Aid
• Current Police Records Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Experience in front-of-house operations within golf, sport, leisure or similar environments
• Knowledge of golf programs, coaching environments or participation pathways
• Experience working with golf professionals, coaches or instructors
• Familiarity with golf booking systems such as MiClub (or similar)
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine commitment to creating great experiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Initiative and problem-solving ability
• Resilience and adaptability during positive change

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at reception and in the café
• Process point-of-sale transactions and manage bookings by phone and online
• Handle customer feedback and escalations as required
• Provide basic advice on golf equipment and apparel
• Assist with hire equipment management (carts, clubs, range balls)
• Oversee driving range operations to ensure a positive experience
• Prepare and serve basic food and beverage items
• Maintain a clean, well-presented café and service area per food safety standards
• Support course operations including stock handling, marshalling and event/program setup
• Collaborate with PGA professionals and casual staff to support coaching programs and participation

About the Role

As a key member of our Golf Operations team, you’ll support the smooth, safe and efficient running of daily operations across the venue. Reporting to the Golf Operations Coordinator, you’ll work across both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, helping us create a welcoming and professional environment for all golfers and guests. Your day could include:

• Delivering outstanding customer service at reception and in the café
• Processing point-of-sale transactions and managing bookings, in person, via phone and online
• Handle customer feedback and escalat issues as required
• Provide basic advice on golf equipment and apparel as well as assisting with hire equipment management

• Preparing and serving basic food and beverage items
• Maintaining a clean, well-presented café and service area in line with food safety standards
• Supporting course operations including stock handling, marshalling assistance, and event/program setup
