Job summary

Leidos Australia invites applications for a Core Services Engineer to design, administer and support Windows Server and related enterprise services in secure environments. The role requires 100% onsite work in Melbourne or Canberra and a TSPV clearance.

You will collaborate with cyber security, infra and software teams to deliver trusted solutions for government and defence projects. The position emphasizes automation, documentation and continuous improvement, with a focus on performance,

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments within medium to large enterprises.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity management services.
• Experience supporting VMware vCenter and virtualised server infrastructure, including provisioning, maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Exposure to security hardening, patching, monitoring and operational support activities within enterprise environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, or similar automation solutions, to improve operational efficiency.
• Capability to investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis and resolve infrastructure incidents across complex environments.
• Experience producing technical documentation, implementation guides and operational procedures.
• Effective collaboration across technical teams, project stakeholders and service delivery personnel.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer and support enterprise Windows Server platforms, Active Directory services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and supporting management systems across secure environments.
• Build, maintain and optimise virtualised infrastructure hosted on VMware platforms, ensuring availability, resilience, performance and security requirements are achieved.
• Implement automation, standard operating procedures and infrastructure improvements that enhance operational efficiency, platform stability and service quality.
• Collaborate with cyber security specialists, infrastructure engineers, software teams and customer stakeholders to deliver trusted and supportable technology solutions.
