Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Core Services Engineer to deliver mission-critical Windows infrastructure for a national security program. The role involves designing, administering and supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP in a secure, 100% onsite environment in Melbourne or Canberra.

You will build and optimise VMware-based virtualised infrastructure, implement automation, and work with cyber security and software teams to ensure resilient, secure services.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server in large to mid-size enterprises.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity management services.
• Experience supporting VMware vCenter and virtualised server infrastructure.
• Exposure to security hardening, patching, monitoring and operational support.
• Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts or similar automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer and support enterprise Windows Server platforms, Active Directory services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and supporting management systems across secure environments.
• Build, maintain and optimise virtualised infrastructure on VMware platforms, ensuring availability, resilience, performance and security requirements.
• Implement automation and infrastructure improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Collaborate with cyber security, infrastructure engineers, software teams and stakeholders to deliver trusted technology solutions.
