Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Systems Administrator to design, implement and support infrastructure across on‑premises, cloud and hybrid environments in Melbourne. You will work with Windows, Unix and Linux platforms to deliver secure, reliable enterprise services.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation and collaboration with project teams, cybersecurity specialists and vendors, with opportunities for professional growth and a clear path to advanced infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems administration and enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems lifecycle, provisioning and upgrades.
• Understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, networking, storage, monitoring and backups.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper‑V.
• Security, patch management, hardening and compliance requirements.
• Ability to document technical work and support project delivery with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, test and deploy infrastructure across Windows, Unix, Linux, virtualised and cloud platforms.
• Support migrations, upgrades, cloud adoption and platform modernisation projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, vendors and operations teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions.
• Contribute to automation, infrastructure standardisation and operational best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
