Rio Tinto in Australia is seeking a Mining Engineer to support Operations Planning with reliable, safe, and sustainable mine planning for Pilbara Mines. You will translate operational data into executable, detail-driven schedules and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to short-term and development planning, monitoring plan adherence, and driving improvements through data-driven actions, while maintaining safe planning practices and aligning with quarterly forecasts.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in open pit mining operations and mine planning/scheduling.
• Strong understanding of short term planning, development planning and Drill & Blast processes.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Capability to prepare accurate, achievable mine or development plans and reconcile plan performance against actuals.

Aufgaben

• Develop and deliver 2 Week Schedules aligned to the Quarterly Forecast.
• Produce and manage Development and Drill & Blast daily schedules.
• Monitor plan deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain development gantt and associated mine development activities.
• Engage with operations and stakeholders to resolve constraints and optimise plan execution.
• Prepare inputs for End-of-Month reconciliations and support planning decisions.
