Job summary

Capcoal Open Cut Mine in Central Queensland is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Officer to join the onsite HR team. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management, and HR reporting while supporting leaders and employees.

The role prefers a tertiary HR qualification and mining experience, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. SAP and Excel skills are highly regarded, and a camp may be provided for non-residential staff.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (desirable).
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, or construction (desirable).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• SAP and Excel experience are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, performance management, reporting and day-to-day HR guidance.
• Collaborate with employees and leaders to drive best practice and resolve HR issues in a fast-paced onsite environment.
