Job summary

Capcoal Open Cut Mine in Central Queensland is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Officer to join the onsite HR team. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management, and HR reporting while supporting leaders and employees.

The role prefers a tertiary HR qualification and mining experience, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. SAP and Excel skills are highly regarded, and a camp may be provided for non-residential staff.

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Human Resources Officer to join our onsite HR team at Capcoal Open Cut Mine. This is a hands–on, fast–paced and dynamic role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy operational environment and enjoys building strong connections with employees and leaders. As an integral part of our onsite HR team, you’ll provide support across the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding, through to payroll, performance management, reporting and day–to–day guidance on HR matters.

What You Will Need

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related discipline (desirable)

Have experience working in mining, heavy industry,or construction (desirable)

Updated Resume

Driver’s License

HR Qualification (only if you have it)

Resilient nature, openness for change and demonstrated ability to drive best practice

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

SAP and excel experience are highly regarded
