Job summary

TOMRA Mining is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Mining Service based in the Sydney region to commission, maintain, and troubleshoot sorting systems at customer sites. The role involves extensive travel across Australia and occasional APAC region visits, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with Applications and Engineering teams, provide on-site support, remote diagnostics, and hands-on maintenance to ensure reliable operation and optimized

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or trade required.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
• Electrical qualification or trade advantageous.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities including installation, commissioning, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and upgrade of sorting equipment.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term success.
• Maintain a regular on-site presence to meet service level agreements.
• Train and support customer maintenance and service personnel for effective operation.
• Provide support for legacy equipment, coordinating in-house repairs as needed.
• Deliver services efficiently, on time, and within budget.
• Offer technical phone support and field response, including weekend on-call duties.
• Contribute to testing, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting at TOMRA Sydney Test Centre.
