Job summary

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Melbourne to deliver high quality mechanical service, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of sorting and packaging equipment. You will support customer production, ensure mechanical integrity, and work closely with sales and care teams to uphold TOMRA's standards.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, strong mechanical skills, PC knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Industrial trade qualification or equivalent degree/diploma preferred.
• 3+ years as a field service engineer or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Experience with PC building and diagnostics.
• Proficient in reading technical procedures and regulations.
• Good communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical systems meet customer expectations.
• Respond to field issues promptly with clear plans and costs.
• Perform field installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance.
• Inspect and service sprockets, belts, bearings, gearboxes, motors.
• Diagnose equipment and troubleshoot to resolution.
• Provide preventative maintenance and performance improvements.
• Update sales and CCC teams on status and opportunities.
• Promote a Safety first culture in the workplace.
