Job summary

TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and optimize its sensor-based sorting systems across Australia. This field role involves regular travel to customer sites and hands-on problem solving to ensure maximum equipment performance.

You will work with customers, project teams and internal stakeholders while upholding safety and regulatory requirements. A relevant engineering degree and 3+ years of field service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting industrial equipment in a field service, maintenance or technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic systems.
• Valid Driver's Licence and authority to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, maintain, and optimize TOMRA sorting systems across Australia.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, mechanical, software and network issues.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer teams.
• Coordinate service activities, upgrades and project-related work.
• Prepare accurate service reports and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades and spare parts sales.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Sales and Technical Support teams.
