Job summary

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality mechanical service across customer sites in Australia. You will ensure machine performance, reliability and a great customer experience, from installation to ongoing maintenance.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, problem-solving and collaboration with customers and colleagues to uphold TOMRA’s standards of quality and safety in food processing environments.

Qualifications

• Industrial trade qualification or equivalent degree/diploma preferred.
• 3+ years as field service engineer or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Experience with PC building, repairing and diagnostic testing.
• Working knowledge of PC and MS Office.
• Able to read and interpret technical procedures/regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical systems meet customer expectations.
• React to field issues with timely resolution and clear customer updates.
• Perform field service work: installation, commissioning, testing, integration, maintenance and repair.
• Install and service components such as sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and resolve them.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to improve ongoing performance.
• Maintain communication with sales leadership and CCC team.
• Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Promote a Safety first culture across the company and customers.
