Job summary

Austin Engineering Ltd is seeking a Product Support Advisor to deliver technical support and product expertise to mining equipment clients across Western Australia. You will be based in Perth with regular site travel and play a key role in ensuring customers get maximum value from our industry-leading solutions.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to identify improvements in our products and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical support or product advisor role, ideally within the mining equipment industry.
• Strong understanding of the design, operation and maintenance of heavy equipment used in mining and extractive applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Ability and willingness to provide support to our resource clients outside of normal business hours over the phone, if required.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical or product issues.
• Skilled at translating technical information into easy-to-understand guidance for customers.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline such as boilermaker in heavy fabrication is highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Serving as the primary technical contact for clients, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting product issues in a timely manner
• Providing training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of our mining equipment
• Liaising with our engineering and manufacturing teams to communicate customer feedback and requirements
• Preparing technical documentation and user manuals to support the implementation and use of our products
• Identifying opportunities to improve our product offerings and customer service based on client needs
• Maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities

Education

Tertiary qualification in engineering or technical discipline
