Job summary

BHP Mining Graduate Program offers a 24-month path to build capability and confidence for a future in mining. You will join structured onboarding, guided learning paths, and a supportive cohort, mentors and leaders who are invested in your growth.

Depending on discipline, you may be placed residentially or on a Fly-in/Fly-out roster, with WA, QLD, and SA operations offering different living arrangements. Your role focuses on meaningful projects in resources, technology and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Graduated within the past two years or due to graduate by end of 2027 with a Mining Engineering degree (or closely related discipline).
• International students with a valid visa are welcome to apply; by February 2028 visa with no work restrictions required.

Responsibilities

• Mine planning & scheduling exposure and understanding of short- and long-term plans.
• Field time and operational exposure in-pit or underground environments.
• Safety and risk foundations, hazard management and due diligence.
• Operational and production support, analyzing performance data for safe, efficient production.
• Technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
