Job summary

Develop is seeking an Underground Mining Engineer – Production to support daily underground operations at Woodlawn in NSW. You will provide technical input across drill and blast, stope planning, ventilation, and scheduling, reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer.

The role offers a permanent, full-time opportunity with an attractive remuneration package and pathways to advance across base metal operations, with FIFO options from East Coast capitals, DIDO or residential arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent.
• 2 years of underground hard rock mining experience.
• Completion of underground practical experience.
• Experience with Deswik design packages.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Well-developed communication, time management and organisational skills.
• Experience with drill and blast design and execution.
• C Class Drivers Licence.
• Awareness of the NSW Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a weekly rolling 7/21 production plan aligned with monthly and quarterly targets.
• Develop stope extraction plans, including final stope shapes and drill & blast plans.
• Contribute to stope reconciliation and optimise designs for dilution and recovery.
• Manage the mine ventilation system including monitoring and upgrades.
• Conduct frequent underground inspections and liaise with contractors and operations personnel.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Mining Engineer.
• Adhere to site safety systems and procedures.
• Lead and mentor other employees to Develop's standards and Core Values.

Job description

Develop has successfully achieved commercial production at its Woodlawn Copper-Zinc Project in NSW, achieving and exceeding steady-state throughput rates, while rapidly advancing the Yitirrti (Sulphur Springs) Zinc-Copper Project in WA. In parallel, the Company is progressing its Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in WA towards production.

The second part of Develop's business focuses on the delivery of underground mining services. Develop currently has agreements in place to provide underground mining services to:

• OceanaGold's (TSX: OGC) Waihi North Gold Project; and
• Core Lithium's (ASX: CXO) Finniss Lithium Operation.

About the role:

DEVELOP's Woodlawn Copper-Zinc mine is located in the world-class Lachlan Fold belt in NSW, 250km south-west of Sydney.

Woodlawn is an advanced stage mine with the first two years of underground production already developed and a near new processing plant and related infrastructure in place. Additional investment in the asset over the last two years has yielded a new underground exclusive mine plan, backed by reserves for the next ten years.

Develop now have an exciting opportunity for an Underground Mining Engineer - Production reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, this role will see you provide comprehensive mining technical support to execute daily underground operations, including drill and blast, stope backfill, ventilation, infrastructure, and scheduling.

Offered on an 8:6 roster with options for FIFO from any capital city on the East Coast, DIDO or Residential

Your main responsibilities (however not limited to):

• Develop and implement a weekly rolling 7 / 21 production plan aligned with monthly and quarterly targets, and track operations compliance to plan.
• Develop stope extraction plans, including final stope shapes, drill and blast plans, stope backfill plans and associated risk mitigation measures.
• Contribute to stope reconciliation and optimise designs for improved dilution and recovery.
• Manage the mine ventilation system including regular monitoring and tracking, and planning system upgrades/adjustments as the mining operation progresses.
• Conduct frequent underground inspections and liaise with mining contractors and operations personnel.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by the Senior Mining Engineer.
• Adhere to the site safety systems and procedures.
• Lead and mentor other employees to DEVELOP's standards and Core Values
