Job summary

Develop is seeking an Underground Mine Surveyor to support our Woodlawn operations. Responsibilities include routine underground survey duties, QA/QC on survey data, and maintaining spatial data for the underground mine plan.

You will work in a challenging environment, mentoring juniors and staying current with industry standards. A 8:6 roster with FIFO/residential options is offered, with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Cert IV or higher in Surveying required.
• Minimum 2 years of underground surveying experience.
• Experience with Leica/Trimble instruments and Deswik CAD/MDM.
• Drone operations experience (Elios/M350) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine daily survey duties underground to support development and production.
• Prepare detailed survey memos for mining departments.
• Monitor surface dams and stockpiles; maintain void model and spatial data.
• Implement quality control to validate survey data and outputs.
• Draft and maintain underground emergency plans; conduct EOM surveys.

Job description

Develop (ASX: DVP) is a diversified mining company with a unique business model that combines both mine ownership and mining services, giving our people the opportunity to contribute across a range of exciting projects and operations.

Develop has successfully achieved commercial production at its Woodlawn Copper-Zinc Project in NSW, achieving and exceeding steady-state throughput rates, while rapidly advancing the Yitirrti (Sulphur Springs) Zinc-Copper Project in WA. In parallel, the Company is progressing its Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in WA towards production.

The second part of Develop's business focuses on the delivery of underground mining services. Develop currently has agreements in place to provide underground mining services to:

• OceanaGold's (TSX: OGC) Waihi North Gold Project; and
• Core Lithium's (ASX: CXO) Finniss Lithium Operation.

About the role:

DEVELOP's Woodlawn Copper-Zinc mine is located in the world-class Lachlan Fold belt in NSW, 250km south-west of Sydney.

Woodlawn is an advanced stage mine with the first two years of underground production already developed and a near new processing plant and related infrastructure in place. Additional investment in the asset over the last twoyears has yielded a new underground exclusive mine plan, backed by reserves for the next ten years.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor we now have vacancies for Underground Mine Surveyors these roles will see you responsible for day-to-day mine surveying activities such as survey markups, monitoring (UG and on Surface), QAQC and maintaining spatial data while adhering to site safety standards and systems.

Offered on an 8:6 roster, Residential, DIDO or FIFO east coast interstate options.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct routine daily Survey duties underground to support underground development and production cycles.
• Prepare detailed survey memos for mining departments.
• Monitoring of surface dams and stockpiles.
• Maintain the void model for underground workings and site spatial data.
• Implement quality control measures to validate survey data and outputs.
• Draft and maintain underground emergency plans.
• Conduct EOM surveys and report data to technical and operational teams.
• Co-ordinate servicing of survey related equipment and management of daily survey consumable stock.
• Mentoring and training of junior team members.
• Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in surveying.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to surveying.
• Carry out other survey related tasks as requested by management.
• Adhere to the site?s safety systems and procedures.

About you:

• Cert IV (or higher) in Surveying.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an underground environment.
• Forward thinker with the ability to thrive autonomously
• Leica, Trimble, Deswik (CAD and MDM) familiarity with a strong mathematical ability.
• RePL and drone operations experience (Elios and M350 desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in a physically challenging work environment.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and work practices.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence.
• Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
