Glencore's Collinsville Open Cut is seeking a Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to join Technical Services. The role focuses on mid-term plan development, stage planning with Maptek Vulcan, and monthly SPRY scheduling, with opportunities to grow SPRY skills.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will work to align plans with business objectives, improve efficiency and support a long life of mine, with a focus on safety and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Experience in open cut coal mine planning.
• Proficient in mine planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimisation of mid-term plans.
• Develop safe and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan.
• Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY.

• EOM reporting and reconciliation.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer we are recruiting for an experienced Mining Engineer - Mid-Term Planning to join Technical Services team. With a long life of mine, there are numerous opportunities for a medium‑term engineer to deliver significant value, gain exposure to the diverse challenges/opportunities, work closely with multiple stakeholders and fast‑track one’s own skill development.

In this role, you will:

• Drive the development and optimisation of mid‑term plans.
• Develop safe and robust stage plans using Maptek Vulcan (Similar software experience is valued)
• Assist with monthly scheduling using SPRY.
• Opportunity to grow and develop SPRY skills
• EOM reporting and reconciliation
